Hello, this week I needed to search myself on the internet, and take a look at who posted it on the internet. When I searched my full name on Google I did not find a thing about me.

But when searching just my first name I found my Pinterest account, where I just save pictures that I want to find back. Pinterest reposts the pictures on the internet with my name and username as a title. I use a nickname for my username on Pinterest, but Pinterest also asked for my first and second name. Because they also ask for a nickname it looks like your first name is private but it is not. When saving a picture on a ‘board’ it is put on the internet with your first name and nickname as title. Now I also changed my first name to a nickname as well and I do not use the last name. (I also deleted all the pictures which were on the internet from my ‘board’, so no one can find anything about me).

I do not have a problem with people being able to see my name with my pictures. But for now it feels better when no one can see pictures connected to my name, so later I can put on the internet what I want to be on there.
